AMBER

Amber, the healing stone, is not a mineral at all – it is a fossilized resin. Amber originates as a soft, sticky natural tree sap – sometimes containing insect and plant material as inclusions – that hardens and solidifies to become Amber. Amber will almost always be warm to the touch, a ‘solar stone’ that is used by alchemical healers in folk medicine and carved into Amber wands for healing. It is both a Leo and Aquarius birthstone and is used to clear depression, protect against negativity and enhance creativity. When combined with other golden toned crystals, it becomes a powerful stone to manifest an increase in money and prosperity. If Amber is heated under the right conditions, oil of amber is produced and the scent we know as Amber musk is created.
