THE PEARL

The Pearl is the oldest known gem and for many centuries it was considered to be the most valuable – a unique object of beauty, as no two pearls are identical. The pearl is an astral stone for the signs Gemini and Cancer, and astrologers link it to the moon. A symbol of purity and innocence, some believe that pearls were formed by the passage of angels through the clouds of the heavens, while the Ancient Greeks considered them the ‘teardrops of the gods’.
